Dive Team 101
New to Merrimack Dive Team or diving in general? Here's how it all works!
Each summer, we compete in the Montgomery County Diving League (MCDL). Generally, we participate in five regular season dual meets (meaning one pool vs. another). These are usually held on consecutive Sunday afternoons at 4:00 PM. (Please note that in 2025, two of our meets are not at the traditional 4:00 PM time. One is at noon and one is on a Monday at 5 PM).
Based on the outcomes of those meets, some divers will go on to participate in MCDL's Division I Championship (Divisionals) meet. Any diver not going to Divisionals can go to MCDL's Robin Hood Invitational meet, which is a great way to close out the season.
After Divisionals, divers who qualify may go to the "All-Stars" meets.
