Dive Team 101

New to Merrimack Dive Team or diving in general? Here's how it all works!

Each summer, we compete in the Montgomery County Diving League (MCDL). Generally, we participate in five regular season dual meets (meaning one pool vs. another). These are usually held on consecutive Sunday afternoons at 4:00 PM.

Based on the outcomes of those meets, some divers will go on to participate in MCDL's Division I Championship (Divisionals) meet. Any diver not going to Divisionals can go to MCDL's Robin Hood Invitational meet, which is a great way to close out the season.

After Divisionals, divers who qualify may go to the "All-Stars" meets.

Meet Schedule: See below or our 2024 Schedule for meets AND other fun events throughout the season.

Meet FAQs: Read our Meet FAQs to learn everything you need to know about meets, including when warm ups start and what a rough timeline looks like.

Meet Results: To view individual and team results from our Division I meets (or other team meets) for this and past seasons, go to Meet Results.

League Rules: For MCDL's rules, meet regulations and information governing referee calls, see the MCDL Handbook.
