PRACTICES
Practice Dates
For Summer 2025, practices for the regular season will start Tuesday, May 27 and run through July 11, and are held every day, Monday through Friday (except July 4).
Divers may continue practicing the week of July 14. They can practice from 4:30-5:30 if they decide to go to the Robin Hood Invitational Meet (which will be held on July 18) or from 5:30-6:30 if they qualify for Divisionals (which will be held on July 20). Divers qualify for Divisonals based on their regular season record. The Robin Hood Invitational Meet is open to ALL divers who are not going to Divisionals.
After Divisionals, divers going to All Stars will continue practicing on July 23 and July 24.
Practice Times
Generally, younger and newer divers practice every weekday from 4:30 to 5:30 PM, and older and more experienced divers practice from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. During the post-season, practices times shift slightly and will depend on whether a diver is going to Robin Hood or Divisionals.
Practices are run by our expert coaches, and divers move at their own pace.

Team Suit
Divers are encouraged to wear a Merrimack team suit at our dive meets.
Sport Fair, our official outfitter, will be selling suits at Merrimack during swim team trials in June. Otherwise, you can go to Sport Fair (5010 Lee Highway, Arlington, VA 22207). Before going there, we suggest calling in advance (703-524-9500) to ensure they have the suit in your desired size.
Practice Policies
Divers should arrive in swimwear, bring a towel and meet coaches in the dive well area five minutes before practice begins.
During practices (and meets) divers (and parents and guardians) are expected to adhere to all applicable Merrimack Pool rules and regulations as well as the Montgomery County Dive League (MCDL) Behavior and Sportsmanship Policy.
