Weather Policies
Our dive team weather policies apply to both practices and meets. These protocols determine how practices and meets are affected by rain, thunder and storms.
- If it is RAINING, the pool will remain open, and we will hold dive practice or run a meet as scheduled—as long as it's not a torrential downpour.
- If THUNDER is heard, the pool will be closed for 30 minutes after thunder was last heard—even if the sky is clear and sunny. Once the pool reopens, dive practice or the meet will resume/begin. When thunder is heard repeatedly and/or it seems a storm will last for a prolonged period, practices will be canceled and meets will be re-scheduled.

Please note: You will be updated by email about weather-related decisions as soon as possible, so please check your email frequently on stormy afternoons and let us know if you want any email added to our distribution list.
It is, of course, up to each family to make decisions about coming to practices or meets during inclement weather. This is summer dive, and we’re here to support each other and have fun!
